I'm dreaming of a FLANNEL Christmas... X

Our Perth FLANNEL team arrived for the annual Christmas soiree, ready to cool off from the warm summer sun. We popped open the bubbles and kick-started our celebrations in style. And what better backdrop for such a scene than Pep's? A relaxed local hangout in Peppermint Grove. Pep's serves up tasty snacks, modern cocktails and a bespoke select of Pet-Nats, local wines and craft beers, all tucked inside a chic, laid-back interior. There's no doubt; good taste was on the menu.

From the archives to our current season treasures, the evening was a sneak-peak into our staff's dreamy wardrobes. Indi in the linen Dixie Blazer, a bralette and wide-legged silk pants - all in white - spoke a language I desperately wanted to learn! Our classic silk-slip was worn simply with sandals and hair undone, and also layered underneath our silk habotai Skye Shirt, loosely tied. I created a mental sticky note of Kristy in the Estelle Maxi Dress in navy with sequin detailing, paired with the faux-shearling Lincoln Slide. Effortlessly chic.

There were mix-matches of linen and sequins, silk and simple tees, patterns and embroidery. Combinations that make you reimagine your own wardrobe. Uniquely styled and all tied up with personal expression. If you ask how anyone thought to pair those pieces together, their response?

"Oh, this? I just threw it on!" I've decided this should be our mantra!

Fashion aside, by far the biggest hit of the evening was the chilli cocktail. At first glance, the sliced jalapeños jumbled amongst the vodka and ice appears daunting feat. However, elegantly balanced, this little beauty is a must-try and don't worry, only on the mild side! It was the ideal accompaniment to Perth's summer heat. Once word got around, there wasn't a hand in sight without one.

We talked about Christmas plans and holiday getaways, exchanged memos about Gabbi Kelly's latest collection (which has just landed in stores. Be quick before we snap it up ourselves!) and the family and friends we can't wait to be reunited with. We grazed on antipasti, cheeses and house-made dips. For a brief second gourmet pizza-pockets appears and under the genius instruction to smother them with the house-made tomato chutney, they were devoured seconds later. Blink and you had missed them!

Celebrating the year that was: the opening of our new boutiques FLANNEL Her in Dunsborough and Claremont, and FLANNEL Him in Claremont and Subiaco, and the resilience of all our stores, especially in Melbourne, for continuing to provide amazing service worldwide throughout the year. We sang praises to our incredible team, our skilled production houses and our loyal, loving customers - we all adore each and every one of you.

It may not come as a surprise to hear we love spending time with each other outside of work. What might be surprising is to believe we were on our best behaviour... well, mostly!

Christmas season is now in full swing and we love the energy and excitement it brings to store. Whether shopping for unique gifts or finding something special to wear, we can't wait to share the joy of the holidays with you! We hope you are all safe and well wherever you are and have a truly wonderful holiday season.

With love,

FLANNEL
