Sorrento
For the ultimate escape, we stayed at Calliope's Mansion, a luxurious property perched on the cliffs above Sorrento. This elegant retreat is nestled among olive and lemon trees, offering panoramic views and a stunning cliffside pool overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The mansion's boutique design follows the natural curves of the landscape, featuring seven bedrooms, multiple terraces, and a harmonious blend of luxury and nature.
With its breathtaking views of Nerano Bay, the Amalfi Coast, and the mythical 'LI Galli' islands, the property promises serenity and the true essence of Italian living. Whether lounging by the pool or exploring the lush gardens, Calliope's Mansion is a hidden gem where you can breathe in the beauty of the coast.
Sorrento's winding cobblestone streets, sun-drenched coastline, and breathtaking views make it a quintessential Italian getaway. Strolling through the town, we discovered charming souvenir shops and indulged in the finest gelato - perfect for an afternoon pause.
For dinner, we ventured down the winding coastal roads to Lo Scoglio in the Marina del Cantone Bay. Known for its simplicity and authenticity, this family-run restaurant serves the freshest local seafood and product grown on their estate. Enjoy a meal on the terrace overlooking the bay, tasting dishes crafted from daily catches and farm-grown vegetables, all served with the warmth and charm that defines Italian hospitality.
Capri
Capri, just a 20-minute boat ride from Sorrento, offers a magical day of island exploration. We spent the day jumping straight into the turquoise waters from the boat, swimming in the crystal-clear sea, and enjoying the sun-drenched coastlines. With the salt-water still on our sunkissed skin, we enjoyed lunch on the island before discovering hidden beaches and coves on our boat ride back to Sorrento.
Positano
Positano's iconic cliffside village was our final stop; a must-visit for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. Renowned for its colourful buildings cascading down to the sea, we wandered through its charming streets, discovering artisanal shops and breathtaking views at every turn. The day concluded at Orama, a chic restaurant perched high above the village, where Elise enjoyed the sunset over the Amalfi Coast. With an Aperol in hand, we indulged in their locally sourced menu while soaking in the perfect sunset view.
